CloneMate: Automated Cell Deposition Unit
- Equipping the JSAN with the optional CloneMate permits cell sorting into each well of a microtiter plate with ease.

essentially any desired number of target cells into a designated well
in a microtiter plate.

| Variety of Lasers |
Select from a Variety of Lasers
- As new solid lasers become available, Bay bioscience is
continually testing and validating the performance of such lasers.
Current options include 375 nm, 405 nm, and 561 nm models. Other
lasers, including a 355 nm will be available in the near future.
Ultimately, the selection of available laser wavelengths will closely
match all commercially available solid state lasers that are suitable
for use in flow cytometry.

CoolMate: Sample Cooling Device
CoolMate may be selected as an option for the JSAN, if it is
important to keep sample cells and/or sorted cells at an optimal
temperature, as a means of improving their viability or retaining
certain important functional characteristics.
Biohazard Containment
Full BSL-2 biohazard
containment can be provided by the Baker BioPROtect III Jr biosafety
cabinet. The cabinet includes special modifications for the JSAN.
A heavy duty cart accommodates the JSAN sorter at operator height and
permits both the fluidics cart and compressor to reside inside the
cabinet. Only the computer that controls the JSAN resides outside the
cabinet.
Using tests defined in the NSF/ANSI Standard 49, the Baker Company
has certified the BioPROTect III Jr to provide
complete isolation of aerosols with the JSAN operating inside the cabinet. Not
only is the cell sorter contained within cabinet, but the fluidics cart and
compressor are contained insisde as well such that no aerosol can escape.
Access to instrument controls, sample station, and sort tubes is provided by
the sash. The computer that controls the sorter resides outside the
cabinet; control cables pass through a grommet in the wall of the cabinet.
The smaller size and lower cost of the BioPROTect III Jr make the cabinet
ideal for smaller rooms and smaller budgets.

- The JSAN workbench may be ordered from Bay
bioscience, if desired, and is designed to suitably accommodate a JSAN,
while minimizing the overall space requirements for the system and
allowing the user easy access to any/all of the JSAN components.
